Southguard Bastion

Location

On the southwestern coast of Tyranis, perched precariously at the northern terminus of the Southern Isthmus. It overlooks the relatively calm waters of the Halcyon Sound to the south.

Overview

Status: Isolated / The Last Outpost Once part of a four-point network designed to contain the southern quadrant of Tyranis, the Southguard Bastion is now the only remaining foothold of the Tyr-Bulwark on the continent.

The three previous outposts were lost over the years when their arcane wards collapsed, cutting them off from supply lines and leaving the garrisons to be overrun by apex predators. Southguard survived solely because its location at the edge of the Southern Isthmus allows for rare but vital resupplies via land-bridge transport, keeping the garrison alive.

Key Functions

Function	Description
The Last Supply Line	The only functioning link to civilization. Logistics rely entirely on the periodic emergence of the Southern Isthmus during extreme low tides. Supplies must be manually ported across the sandbar before the sea swallows the bridge again.
Tyrants Hollowing Quarantine	Strictly controlled access. Only personnel possessing a functional Mark (preventing Tyrants Hollowing) are permitted to reside here or venture north. Visitors are virtually non-existent due to the lethality of the region for unprotected humanoids.
